Hope

Christ the beginning and the end taught the principles of life during His ministry on earth. Jesus gave us the guidelines in His teaching of love, mercy, justice and hope.

Hope is a function of the eternal process. It is the certainty of things unseen. It is the beginning awareness of the longings of one’s soul. Hope is the determining factor in all that proceeds from the heart. When we discover the hope that is in our heart, we hear the call of God. Hope is like a beacon that lights the way to eternal happiness. No one is ever without hope. It is often obscured, but hope is always present.

Almighty God is never far from our hope. When one hopes, it is their innermost being that is yearning. Hope is the motivator when our inner person presses forward in complete faith that something can be accomplished. Yet we often fail to allow hope to be realized. Hope can never be accomplished without the will of God. Therefore, hope is a resident condition of being in God and it will languish, if we proceed to live in our own will.

That is not to say, that everything that we do emanates from the will of God. But, only that which is the directed will of God. We live in the confines of temporal space and time. When we fail to seek the guidance of the Most Holy in our daily affairs, we are then limited to the influence of our environment.

Life is the continuous process of the development of humankind. It is the furbishing of hope and the resilience of human dignity. Life maintains the stabilization of human affairs and offers hope to the world at large. That is to say, that life is the process, chosen by God, to determine the validity of the progression of humanity as they move toward their final destination.

Life is the gift of God. It is the connective tissue to all that has ever been, is now, or ever will be. It is the consortium of wholeness, and the deliverance of that wholeness to the Creator from whence it came. It is the thought of God, working through time and space, to order that which He has ordained. It is the very essence of God’s hope for His children.

Life’s Purpose

All of life is purposed and all persons have a particular place in that purpose.  When God the Father ordained life He ordained the specific purpose of each and every aspect of life.  It is all interwoven into one gigantic scheme of life that continuously evolves toward the final hour.  When that hour comes it will be finalized.  Humankind will have achieved its destiny.

It is the will of Almighty God that we live in harmonious relationships. His plan is that we learn how to resolve our differences through loving concern. And when we don’t, we contribute to the discord that is already prevalent in the world. One is the product of their environment, when they fail to heed the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is that quiet inner voice that speaks to us from the depths of our heart.

When one perceives that Almighty God is the Author and Giver of life; then and only then, can they pursue the destiny that God the Father has mapped out. The Creator of life is the controller of life. It is the power of God that sustains the universe. And it is the power of God that ordains life to it’s purpose. When men pursue their destiny, it is the Creator of all life that is leading them.

Men must come to realize that God is who He says that He is.  He is the Almighty I AM that I AM.

The problem with life is that we have failed to acknowledge the Presence of God in our daily affairs. Life has become a form of living without substance. To live without substance is to live without hope of an eternal destiny.   The primary cause of the failures in life is that man fails to enter into an intimate and fulfilling relationship with the Almighty.

It is inconceivable that man has chosen to fashion Almighty God after his own perception, rather than after the plan of God. When men choose to follow their own path, it becomes a crooked trail.  When men likened God unto themselves and made no effort to fashion themselves after God, theirs was the free-will choice that established the way of destruction. However, when one chooses to follow the path that God has set before them, it becomes a journey with purpose and a destiny.  Each person must find the road they are ordained to travel.

The directed will of God is outside the time/space constraints. Eternal God operates in the realm beyond the physical. There are no time/space constraints in the spiritual world; only thought transference. When men refuse to allow Almighty God to direct their daily affairs, they then proceed to limit their activities to the time/space dimension of life.

We have only to look around us and give serious thought to what we see, and it becomes evident that there is intelligence and a harmony that underlies all of creation. Instinctively we know that somewhere we have a place in this great and marvelous universe that surrounds us. There comes a time in the life of each one of us, when we stand in awe of the magnitude and mystery, that are an integral part of creation itself, and we wonder what it all means for us.

Each one of us must find within ourselves the meaning of life; that purpose for which we came into existence. We must discover the way of thinking and acting that will give us peace and bring us to wholeness. And that must come from our own reality. We are not carbon copies of some other person’s perception of reality. All of our life we have been aware of that person deep within us, who yearns to know the answers to the age old questions of “Who am I?”And “Where am I going?

A serious search for the truth requires that we question those concepts that we hold about our life. The first step in understanding what it means to be created in the “image and likeness of God”, is to pay attention to that person deep inside of you, who instinctively knows that there is a place for you in this vast, complex, wonderful universe.

If we really look through questioning eyes at the order of the world around us, we see intelligence and harmony. Everything in nature has a design and a season. Our bodies are incredibly miraculous in their design. When we step back from the sights and sounds of the world, we can truly see the creation that surrounds us. All the wondrous beauty in nature, the warmth and love of our pets, the blaze of colors in our flower garden; we begin to sense that we are truly part of a universe that could only have been created by an intelligent Being.

When we have taken the time to see the world around us, we are led to reflect on our personal relationship with the Creator of such order. And even if we have never read or studied the Bible, we have heard over the years that the Bible is the written Word of Almighty God, the Creator of all things.

Let us start with the very first chapter in the Bible, because it is there that we are told, that we are created in the “image and likeness of God”. (Gen .1:26, 27). Wow! What an incredible concept to think of ourselves in the likeness of God. A concept that is much too big for us to get our minds around, until we come to the realization that God’s thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. (Isaiah. 55:8)

What does it mean to be created in the image and likeness of God? God is Spirit and when mankind was created, they were given a spiritual nature along with their physical body. Throughout the centuries, the people of God have recognized that God manifested to His people in ways that showed His love and care for us as a parent. Scripture is filled with the promises that God has given, and fulfilled, to His people. So through the Word, and the directed will of God, we are given to know of the wonderful inheritance that Our Father has provided for us.

Spiritual life is simply the expressed knowledge of the Presence of God Almighty.  All other life exists for the purpose of modifying ones behavior to understand the purpose of living.  That is to say that God has purposed life and until one finds that purpose they are only existing.

When we “bump our heads” on the consequences of bad choices, they are the experiences that may serve to redirect us to a fuller understanding of the principles inherent in God’s design.

When God is in full control then life takes on meaning. Life is truly the extension of the Almighty in His plan of fulfillment for His creation.  When life has purpose, it is being directed by the Holy Spirit, but when life consists of meaningless wandering it is because it is under the direction of the Prince of darkness.  This is a literal truth.

An Avenue of Escape.

When Christ the Savior King entered the spectrum of time; his was the mission that established the avenue of escape for those caught in the ravages of time. His was the creation force that energized creation. That is to say that Christ is the activator of life. He entered into the purposed life of mankind by His participation in the creative act.

Creation was not a random act; it was the purposeful action of Almighty God. In His own energy He created the life force that permeates the entire spectrum of the universes. It was the deliberate act of love. He chose to create. He chose to live in harmony with His creation. And it is His will that all creation be purposed and redeemed. It is inevitable that this will occur.

It is true that mankind is created in the image and likeness of God. But that image became distorted at the fall of humankind, and can only know restoration in the image and likeness of Christ the King. It is the Father reaching for His children that draws men to seek Him. And if we seek, the Father has promised that we will find.

Life is the training ground for mankind in their preparation for meeting their Creator. This in essence is the work of every person born into this world, to live in cooperation with the source of their existence. To do so is to find conditions of life that bring wholeness and happiness.  When men and women seek answers to the questions that every human being asks, they have begun the process of spiritual development. Why am I here? Where am I going? What purpose do I have?

We are created to know God and to know our purpose in life.  It is when men discover the purpose for their own existence that life becomes palpable.  The need to know ourselves is inextricable from the need to know the purpose for life.  The very existence of life is in Truth and Spirit the existence of our heavenly parent.

It is not the responsibility of man to establish his own presence in the spectrum of time.  He is to be an avenue for the expression of the Most High. In so doing he will become the person that God has ordained him to be.

To believe that God is the very life that we live is extraordinary and yet it is the very foundation of Christianity.  An amazing thing happened at Calvary.  Life entered the hearts of all humanity.  And the life of man became the life of God.

Almighty God Has a Plan!

In the beginning, God created the hevaens and the earth.

This is a work of the heart and soul.  It is not a treatise on particulars of doctrine.  It speaks of the very essence of Christianity.

There is an order to the universe; an order that was established by the Creator at the beginning of time.  An order that is so comprehensive in its totality that it is beyond the thought of humankind.

Almighty God has a plan!  A plan that is so majestic and far reaching that it is beyond the scope of human intellect to fathom in its entirety. However, our Heavenly Father through the ages continues to reveal ever deepening and profound aspects of His nature, as an expression of His all encompassing provision.

In the thought and mind of the Almighty, life is fixed in its determination.  It is the scope of that order that we shall endeavor to touch upon in this work.  That is not to say that the work of God can be analyzed. It can only be received by an open heart and shared with other open hearts.

It is the nature of God the Father to be known by His creation, and it is in the center of our life that we will find God, who waits for the return of His creation.

When God created it was the beginning of a vast endeavor that would eventually bring all that He created into the realm of His Being. It was a system of growth that ensured that all life would be safely harbored in His Love.  He exercised His free will and brought into existence an extension of His own life; thus humankind was “made in the image and likeness of God.”

It was God who established the heavens and earth and all that dwells therein.  And it is Almighty God who sustains all of creation.  It is the love of God that draws all people along in their spiritual walk, and He has made provision for the entirety of their life. The Creator is not a teacher who stands at our side and monitors everything we do.  He is Almighty God who has, in the act of Creation, provided for every contingency of life. He has arranged the way for every need to be met, every hurt to be healed and every sorrow to be overcome. He is in Truth and Spirit the All in All. It is we who must find the way of God.
